Towards a sustainable society with European University for Transition open courses

24 October 2023
Results
The project developed a holistic and humanistic curriculum for transition universities in Europe. The developed modules are now also available as extra-academic training courses, for volunteers, professionals, managers and policymakers. It produced the following results - you can find these results on the project website:
- a master course of 19 lectures on ecohumanism and sustainability;
- a pedagogical guide to educational activities that can be used in teaching;
- a massive open online course (MOOC) with videos explaining the lessons for a wide audience.
Collaboration
The University of Humanistic Studies was one of the main partners, with researchers Fernando Suárez Müller and Caroline Suransky. Emeritus Professor Henk Manschot was also involved. In this project, UvH cooperated with universities from France, Spain, Turkey and Estonia and with several transition schools and eco-villages. Several summer courses were organised in these eco-villages in which UvH students participated.
