Announcement CERC conference 2025: Care, Aesthetics, and Repair
In January 2025, the University for Humanistic Studies will host the third international conference of the Care Ethics Research Consortium (CERC). Led by Louis van den Hengel, this conference will bring together scientists, artists, designers and other creators around the question: How can we consider care as art and art as care?
With contributions from some 130 scholars and artists, the conference offers a rich programme of plenary lectures, individual presentations, performances, visual arts, a roundtable discussion on care ethics and care aesthetics, and more.
The on-site conference will take place from 23-25 January at conference centre Kontakt der Kontinenten in Soesterberg. In addition, there are two online days on 30-31 January, during which an additional 100 presentations will be offered in three different time zones worldwide.
You can find more information about the programme, how to register and find accommodation on the congress website:
Please note that a contribution is requested for participation. Given the large number of speakers, space for external visitors is limited. Therefore, be there early not to miss this unique opportunity!
